Calibration tool: calibration monitoring and control
This page lists all of the calibrations that are currently running on the
server and provides information such as the number of iterations that have
been simulated. A link is also provided to cancel the calibrations
that are running in your own workspace.
Accessing this page
This page can be accessed at any time by selecting "Calibration Tool" from
the BCal menu.
Description
Provided there is at least one calibration running on the server
A table is shown. This table lists all of the calibrations that are
currently running on the BCal server machine. The following information
is given.
-
Title - the title of the project being calibrated.
-
Owner - the BCal user who owns the project.
-
Status - the status of the project, which is ether:
-
Submitted - waiting for calibration to start (see notes),
-
Calibrating - calibration is running,
-
Convergence Checking - convergence checking is being performed,
-
Post Processing - the calibration is complete and post processing
is taking place, or
-
Cancelled - the calibration has been cancelled and will shortly
be removed from the list.
-
Started - the date and time the calibration was started.
-
Progress - the number of iterations that have been simulated.
-
Check point - the number of iterations at which convergence checking
will begin.
For each calibration process the "Cancel" button is also shown. If
you are the owner of the project, selecting this allows you to cancel that
calibration process. The calibration
cancellation page will be shown.
Notes
When a project is submitted for calibration, the status is first of all
set to submitted. Within a few seconds a test will be made on the
current load of the server. If the load is low, the calibration will
start immediately (the status will change to calibrating). If, however,
the load is high, the project will be placed in a queue. When the
load on the server decreases, the first project in the queue will automatically
be started. The projects are displayed on the page in the following
order: calibrating projects, 1st in queue, 2nd in queue and so on.
