Project manager: project list
The project manager list page lists all the projects within the folders
in your BCal work space. Each line provides basic information about
a particular project, along with actions that can be performed on that
project. The project manager list page is intended to be used to
gain access to most other parts of BCal.
Accessing this page
This page can be accessed by selecting "Project Manager" from the BCal
menu. This page is also shown each time you login to the software.
Description
All projects within the selected folder are shown. By default the
"Main" folder is selected. You can select another folder by choosing
it from the list box and selecting the "Change" button. You can add
and delete folders by selecting the "Add" and "Delete" buttons next to
the "Change" button.
Each project is shown on a separate row. Each row contains:
-
the project name,
-
the current status of the project, which is one of:
-
Undefined - the calibration definition is not yet compete,
-
Defined - the calibration definition is compete and ready for calibration,
-
Submitted - the project has been submitted for calibration,
-
Calibrating - the project is currently being calibrated,
-
Checking Convergence - BCal is currently performing convergence
checking on the project (during calibration),
-
Post Processing - the project has been calibrated and now post processing
is taking place,
-
Calibrated - the project is calibrated and the results are available,
-
Cancelled - the project was cancelled during calibration,
-
Convergence Problem - after calibrating the project, it appears
that there is a convergence problem,
-
High Dependence Factor - after calibrating the project, it appears
to suffer from a high dependence factor problem,
-
Convergence Checking Error - the calibration failed due to an internal
problem with the convergence checking mechanism,
-
Out Of Bounds - the project could not be calibrated because dates
within it exceeded those of the calibration curve used and so the calibration
failed,
-
Too Small - the posterior distributions were too small to be analysed
and so post processing failed, or
-
Failed - the calibration failed for an unknown reason.
-
action buttons, active only when that action may be performed. These
are:
-
Edit - launches the definition editor to edit the calibration definition
(see notes below),
-
View - launches the definition editor to view the calibration definition
(see notes below),
-
Submit - launches the calibration tool to submit the project for
calibration,
-
Results - launches the results presentation tool to view the results
of the calibration,
-
Copy - makes a copy of the project (see notes below),
-
Move - moves the project to another folder, and
-
Delete - deletes the project from your work space.
-
the date the project was last modified.
Notes
-
If you edit a calibrated project, you will lose the results. BCal
will display a warning to this effect when you try to edit a calibrated
project.
-
In order to view the definition of a calibrated (or calibrating) project,
without making changes to the definition, you should choose "View" not
"Edit".
-
To make changes to the calibration definition of a project, but keep the
results for that project safe so that you can view them again, you should
copy the project and make changes to the copied version.
-
Copying a project only copies the calibration definition, not the results.
